The specialist is responsible for recruiting, screening, and certifying foster homes while ensuring compliance with state and agency regulations. They also conduct outreach and coordinate with clinicians and case managers regarding placement decisions.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree and be a licensed social worker (LCSW, LSW, or LSWA) or license-eligible. Proficiency in office software and the ability to obtain CPR/First Aid certification are also required.

Northeast Center for Youth & Families, Inc. seeks a Foster Home Resource Specialist to recruit, screen, evaluate, and certify foster homes for consideration for our Easthampton area office. This individual will prepare applicants of the expectations and responsibilities of foster/adoptive parents as set forth in State, City, and Agency regulations, conduct in-depth interviews with household members regarding parenting capacities and personal background, and collect written collateral data such as employment and personal references. Other responsibilities include to conduct outreach recruitment efforts, maintain effective collaborative relationships with other foster youth serving agencies, and coordinate with case managers, clinicians and other staff regarding placement decisions. The position requires on-call duties as needed.
