The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing routine testing in various laboratory areas. This work aids physicians and clinical care teams in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Candidates must have an associate degree from a NAACLS accredited program or equivalent military training. Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician is required upon hire or must be obtained within three months of hire.
The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing routine testing in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology laboratory areas to aid physicians and clinical care teams in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient.
