The Patient Care Associate provides direct care for a designated group of patients, performing tasks such as obtaining vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, and communicating patient observations to the healthcare team. They also maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with 1-3 years of relevant experience. The role demands skills in patient care, communication, and teamwork.
Provides direct care as assigned for a designated group of patients. Performs functions requiring skill and competence such as, but not limited to phlebotomy, EKG, obtaining specimens and cultures, activities of daily living, simple wound dressings and vital signs. Shares accountability for quality patient outcomes.
