Personal Care Assistant - PRN

Schedule

PRN, per program needs; availability required for one winter holiday, one summer holiday, and one weekend per month (Saturday and Sunday, or two Saturdays, or two Sundays).

Paid Training

Required training will take place during daytime hours (9:00 AM–5:00 PM) within the first 1–2 weeks.

Earn $19.33/hour

Position Details

Our personal care assistants provide for the safety and welfare of all residents in an 8-bed Personal Care Home (PCH) setting, supporting their mental health and physical well-being. They carry out direct care responsibilities while participating in and following the treatment planning process.

• Key Responsibilities
• Help develop and implement activities and other special projects designed to strengthen independent and community living skills and socialization/leisure time.
• Build on strengths to promote positive growth for the consumer.
• Engage consumers in appropriate life skills to develop abilities to live as independently as possible.
• Accompany consumers on trips outside the facilities for treatment, medical appointments, or any other appropriate activities.

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• Active and valid driver's license required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
