We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate caregiver for a client with advanced dementia. This is a part-time position (Monday & Tuesday) with the potential for ongoing work.
Minimum 10+ years of experience working with dementia clients Medical background preferred Some college education required Must have cooking experience and be comfortable preparing meals Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Comfortable around dogs (2 Labrador Retrievers in the home) Strong communication skills and ability to engage non-verbal clients About the Client: The client is in a stage of dementia where she is mentally aware but has difficulty verbalizing her thoughts. She benefits from a caregiver who is patient, engaging, and attentive.
sponge bathing, dressing, and light makeup Assist with selecting outfits (typically before 9–10 AM start) Prepare meals and involve client in light meal preparation and table setting Provide meaningful companionship (cards, conversation about family, travel, etc.) Encourage participation in daily activities Accompany client on walks and outdoor activities (gardening, flowers, etc.) Hiring Process:
