The Registered Nurse assesses patients and families using a person-centered approach to recognize physical and behavioral abnormalities. They are responsible for planning, evaluating, and executing optimal care plans within a collaborative interdisciplinary team.
Candidates must hold an active New York Nursing license and an Associate Degree in Nursing. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required, though new hires may obtain them during the introductory period.
Assesses patients and families using a person-centered approach to quickly recognize deviations and abnormalities in physical, emotional, developmental and behavioral status. Plans and evaluates the care of patients, demonstrating the ability to effectively prioritize care goals for both expected and unanticipated needs while involving the patients and support persons. Demonstrates competence in the implementation of the technical skills required for the care of patients and families, and clinical documentation compliance remaining up to date on policies, procedures and standards. Considers the interdisciplinary team as resources for interventions on care goals including evidence based practice. Is self-directed in assuming responsibilities within the team and care delivery system and assisting peers and team with skills and behaviors for compassionate implementation of operations and standards of patient care.
Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., Use of computer keyboard); may require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs), including boxes, equipment, IV solutions and stooping and kneeling (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves and to file documents in lower file drawers); sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time may be necessary; must be able physically to operate the equipment used for the job.
Location and Travel Requirements: Onsite Less than 25% Travel
$38.63 to $47.18 per hour
