Perform physical therapy programs and treatments for diverse patient populations across inpatient and outpatient settings. Provide essential education to patients and families while collaborating with multidisciplinary care teams.
Requires an Associate's degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant and at least 2 years of licensed clinical experience. Must hold a current CPR certification for all age groups and have technical training in physical therapy equipment.
Performs physical therapy programs and treatments as directed by the physical therapist for inpatient & outpatient pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. Provides employee and patient educational programs as directed. The duties of this position require patient and family education and the exercise of courtesy and patience in speaking with and assisting patients, families, medical personnel and others in order to provide quality customer service.
REQUIRED:1. Associate's degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. 2. Technical training in the use of physical therapy equipment used in the inpatient & outpatient settings. 3. Current certification in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for all age groups. 4. Must have 2 years of licensed clinical experience. 5. Internal candidate must attain 3.25 PE (prior year) and no disciplinary action on file. PREFERRED:Has current knowledge of orthopedics, neurology, and medical/surgical problems associated with the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.
