Candidates must have completed an accredited educational program for radiology assistants, PAs, NPs, or surgeon assistants and hold NCCPA certification or equivalent. Passage of the PANCE and jurisprudence exam is required, along with recent active practice experience.

Austin Radiological Association is a nationally renowned radiology practice with a 72-year history of providing exceptional service and clinical care to the patients of Austin and Central Texas. As one of the largest radiology groups in the country, with 118 radiologists representing all subspecialties. We are seeking a physician extender to join our growing radiology APP section in Austin.
primarily involve pediatric hospital encounters, including consultations, H&Ps, follow-ups, diagnostic fluoroscopy, and image-guided procedures. Outpatient duties are limited to our bi-weekly vascular anomalies clinic. Prior experience in pediatric fluoroscopy or image-guided procedures is strongly preferred. Supervised training is available. The environment is highly collegial, featuring direct radiologist interaction, optimized workflows, and dedicated support staff. Primary sites include Dell Children’s Medical Center and Dell Children’s North Campus, plus other Austin-area contract sites with a pediatric population. The schedule is sustainable, the case mix is rewarding, and there is an option to participate in adult care. Income may be supplemented via moonlighting opportunities at adult and pediatric sites. PRACTICE OVERVIEW ARA serves 24 hospitals and operates 17 outpatient imaging centers but by the end of 2026, we’ll be serving 19 outpatient imaging centers. ARA is partnered with the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas to redefine how diagnostic testing is designed, delivered and leveraged to improve the health. Hospital-based consultations, image-guided procedures, and follow ups Limited outpatient pre/post procedure clinic visits DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Successful completion of an educational program for radiology assistants, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, or surgeon assistants accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, or by that committee's predecessor or successor entities Passage of PANCE within 6 attempts (or equivalent) NCCPA Certification (or equivalent) Passage of the jurisprudence (JP) exam Have practiced at least 20 hours a week for 40 weeks in one of the two years preceding application COMPENSATION: The salary range for this position is 130k-140k. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
