Vascular Technologist, Full Time, 1st Shift

Monday - Friday with call, 8a-5p, Fulltime

• Registered Vascular Technologist provides diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures according to established policy and procedure.
• Use independent judgment and systematic problem-solving methods to produce high quality diagnostic information and optimize patient care and other assigned duties as assigned by the Lead Technologist or Practice manager.
• Performs all required ultrasound and clinical evaluations at a technical level not requiring direct supervision.
• Assists the Lead Technologist and Practice Manager with the daily operations of the vascular laboratory and training staff as needed.
• Maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase level of competence under the supervision of the Lead Technologist and Practice Manager.
• Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify and record appropriate anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images.
• Coordinates work schedule with manager to assure workload coverage.
• Consults with Ordering physician, patient chart, and/or lead technologist regarding patients’ history to determine appropriate lab procedure when necessary.

Job Qualifications

• RVT-Registered Vascular Technologist
• Routine vascular lab supplies, equipment (ultrasound imaging machine, plethysmography and Doppler, transcranial Doppler) and medications specific to assigned patient population. Computer terminal and printouts. Digital imaging system.
