The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating clinical activities for Medical/Surgical patients, utilizing the nursing process to provide care tailored to patient needs. They also supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and other support staff while adhering to hospital policies and standards.
Candidates must have completed a Board Certified Nursing Program and hold a current LA RN licensure along with BLS certification. Excellent computer skills and the ability to work 12-hour shifts, including holidays and weekends, are also required.
Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program. Current LA RN licensure. Current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off. ALS encouraged. Basic EKG encouraged within 6 months of hire. Excellent computer skills required. Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, and meet holiday and weekend requirements. Physical Demands: Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
