Provide clinical care and operate various types of respiratory care equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory illnesses. Work under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory or Lead Therapist at the request of a physician.
Candidates must have an associate degree, a NY State License, NBRC registration, and BLS certification. A minimum of one year of hospital experience is required, and a FDNY G-71 certificate must be obtained within the first year.
• The Registered Respiratory Therapist will provide clinical care under the direct/indirect supervision of the Director of Respiratory and/or Respiratory Supervisor/Lead Therapist. At the request of the physician, the Registered Respiratory Therapist will set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment that are utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness.
