Job Description

Plans, coordinates, and oversees care for patients of any age in Preop/PACU department. Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to other team members. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the manager, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits, and projects. Hours vary Pay based on experience starting at $32.10 Responsibilities Follows employee health and other personnel and staffing policies, Follows OSHA and other standards for protection against blood borne pathogens, Follows policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for perioperative nursing care according to accepted standards, Informs Float or PACU Charge Nurse of applicable day-to-day situations, Maintains and demonstrates current skills and knowledge of intravenous therapy, medication administration and effects, patient assessment, airway maintenance, patient teaching, emotional/social support of patients and families, and other needed clinical competencies., Plans, implements, and evaluates pre and post operative nursing care for patients based on individual, specific patient needs, and according to physician’s orders, Seeks anesthesia consult and assistance as needed Requirements ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (within 90 Days of hire) - Sarah Bush Lincoln, BLS or CPR certification (within 90 days of hire) - Sarah Bush Lincoln, PALS (within 1 year of hire) - Sarah Bush Lincoln, RN-Registered Nurse - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Compensation Estimated Compensation Range $32.10 - $49.76 Pay based on experience When you come to work for Sarah Bush Lincoln or Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care, you have our commitment to help make this the best work experience of your life.
