Perform radiographic procedures and produce high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners while ensuring a safe environment. Provide mentorship to other technologists and assist with administrative duties or project leadership as assigned.
Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Radiography Technologist and an Associate Degree in Radiology. Must hold ARRT certification in Radiography, state licensure, and BLS certification within 60 days of hire.
Description Join an energetic, patient-focused team! Medstar Health at Lafayette Center is currently seeking an experienced Radiographer for a full-time position at our outpatient imaging center located in Washington, DC. The open position will work Monday to Friday from 9am to 5:30pm. A parking stipend is provided for all technologists.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years experience as a Radiography Technologist EDUCATION: Must have a minimum Associates Degree in Radiology or be a graduate of an accredited two-year radiology program. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current valid registration from ARRT. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice. BLS certification required within 60 days of hire. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Skill in operation of radiographic equipment as well as applicable ancillary equipment. Ability to work independently and multitask. Ability to provide documentation accurately and concisely. Demonstrates understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology. Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
