Deliver safe and cost-effective pharmaceutical care for inpatient patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities include reviewing medication orders, performing evidence-based interventions, and supervising pharmacy technicians and interns.
Requires a Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree and a valid state pharmacy license. Candidates should have knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations and immunization certification if applicable.
This position demonstrates consistent application of knowledge and skills to deliver appropriate, safe, efficient and cost-effective pharmaceutical care within the scope of their assigned practice. This position is responsible for the care of patients as well as the development of effective, professional relationships within the multidisciplinary team. Clinical Pharmacist Inpatient Job Specifics: Schedule: 7‑on/7‑off overnight schedule, Wednesday through Tuesday, 8:30 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. This role follows a 70‑hour work schedule with 80 hours of pay per pay period.
Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution (education verified). License to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy in the state of practice. Effective communication, people management, and project management skills. Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs
Previous experience working in an integrated healthcare delivery system Board Certification Health System Residency *Modified PTO plan; see 7-ON/7-OFF Work Agreement. Physical Requirements Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs. Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
