The neonatal nurse practitioner will manage day-to-day operations in the NICU, attend deliveries, and collaborate with a team of providers and hospital staff. Responsibilities include ventilator and nutrition management, lab reviews, and family meetings.
Candidates must have a New Mexico NP license and neonatal nurse practitioner certification, along with at least one year of advanced practice experience. Hospitalist experience is strongly preferred.

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
This organization is a physician-owned medical practice specializing in the care of expectant mothers and newborns. They were founded in 2016 by a small group of neonatologists and have grown to more than 100 providers serving patients in multiple states. Their team of board certified specialists stand by the core ethic that medicine should be the delivery of consistent, continuous care for mothers, babies, and their families. The practice combines a national infrastructure with local support, using their breadth and depth of clinical and operational resources to allow their providers to spend more time on delivering high-quality care.
The new neonatal nurse practitioner will be employed by a private practice that is contracted to provide neonatology services at the hospital. They will work with a team of other providers from the practice, also collaborating with the hospital staff and medical directors.
The schedule is coordinated collaboratively among all the providers, with the option to bundle shifts if preferred.
The hospital is highly regarded for its commitment to women’s and children’s health. It boasts a 53-bed Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and is equipped with the latest technology and resources.
The average daily census is approximately 17, with an estimated 150 deliveries per month.
The hospital uses an EHR and clinical assistants are available to assist providers in all situations.
