The Occupational Therapy Assistant provides patient treatment and assessment under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist. Responsibilities include delivering home programs, documenting services, and maintaining departmental equipment.
Candidates should be a Licensed Occupational Therapist Assistant, with one year of experience preferred. Ability to handle stress and meet physical demands of the clinical environment is required.
The Occupational Therapist Assistant provides services under the general supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist, including assisting with patient assessment, treating individual patients and patient groups, delivering home program, patient and family instruction, and participating in family and team conferences. The OT Assistant conducts equipment inventories and maintenance and documents services according to hospital and departmental standards.
