We are currently seeking a passionate individual for the position of Part Time Adult Home Care Aide. In this crucial role, you will be based at the Pleasant Gardens Adult Home, a 26-bed facility which provides 24-hour supervision, personal care, meals, housekeeping, laundry service, transportation, daily recreational activities, and medication management. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Make residents' beds and ensure linens are changed weekly or as needed. Prepare, cook, and serve meals and snacks according to dietary needs. Perform laundry tasks for residents' linens and personal clothing. Maintain cleanliness and organization through regular housekeeping and adhering to the cleaning schedule. Monitor and restock personal hygiene supplies for residents. Administer/supervise medication administration and assist residents with daily routines. Document incidents and complete the daily census accurately. Ensure the safety of resident rooms and common areas, assisting with additional tasks as needed. POSITION REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or Equivalency Experience working with elderly preferred Valid NYS Driver's License in good standing Physical Requirements: Sits, stands, stoops, squats, walks, and moves intermittently during work hours, may push or pull 10-15 pounds daily, may push or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally, drive agency vehicle Training in First Aid and CPR required Successful completion of annual Physical and PPD POSITION RELATIONSHIPS Reports to: Adult Home Administrator Supervises: None HOURS: Part Time: Shift 4: Tuesdays 11pm-7am, Sundays 7am-3pm Shift 5: Saturdays and Sundays 7am-3pm Per Diem also available PAY RATE: $18.50 hourly LOCATION: Bayport, NY Learn more at mercyhaven.org!
