Provide in-home counseling and evidence-based mental health treatment to new parents to promote healthy child development and family wellbeing. Responsibilities include conducting psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and collaborating with the Pinellas County Health Department.
Requires a Master's degree in clinical social work, psychology, or a related human service field. Candidates must possess a valid Florida Driver's License, pass extensive background screenings, and have experience with evidence-based interventions for adults and families.

We provide in-home counseling to new parents who want to improve their lives and the lives of their children. The Healthy Families Therapist works closely with the Pinellas County Health Department home visitor program to coordinate care and promote healthy development for young children and wellbeing for their parents.

Graduation from an accredited graduate school with a Master’s degree in clinical social work, clinical psychology, mental health counseling or related human service field.
Not required, registered intern pursuing licensure pursuant the provisions of Chapter 491, Florida Statutes as a social worker, mental health counselor, or marriage and family therapist preferred.
Experience in using evidence-based therapeutic interventions with adults and families, knowledge regarding the effects of violence on children, and use of effective strategies for crisis intervention and prevention. Home visiting experience preferred.
