Provide comprehensive anesthesia care including preoperative assessment, intraoperative management, and postoperative pain management. Collaborate with surgical teams to monitor vital signs and respond to critical care emergencies.
Requires a Master's or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited CRNA program and an active Michigan APRN license. Candidates must hold NBCRNA certification, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications with at least one year of experience.
Active Michigan licensure Board certification AHA BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications Minimum 1-year CRNA experience or equivalent Job Responsibilities (Generalized): Provide anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgery, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative anesthesia management and postoperative pain management Collaborate with surgeons, surgical teams and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic plans as needed Respond to emergencies and provide critical care interventions Maintain accurate and complete medical records Stay current on the latest advancements in anesthesia practice through continuing education Skills: Clinical expertise and technical proficiency in administering various anesthesia techniques Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with a surgical team Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing patient conditions Strong work ethic, stamina and ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited CRNA program Licenses & Certifications: Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Michigan National certification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Re-certification for Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA) Experience: While specific requirements may vary, most locum CRNA positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical anesthesia setting
