The RN provides leadership and expertise in total patient care within the OB and med/surg units. Responsibilities include performing assessments, developing care plans, and coordinating interventions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Candidates must hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota. Prior experience in both med/surg and OB nursing is required.
The RN is a professional caregiver who provides leadership and expertise in total patient care in collaboration with other members of the health care team and in accordance with policies, procedures, and standards of practice to promote optimal patient outcomes. The RN: Works primarily in OB, with occasional med/surg assignments during periods of low census, within a combined unit that includes medical, surgical, pediatric, obstetric, nursery, and swing bed patients. Performs assessments and provides care to patients of all ages in order to develop a plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and other health care providers. Coordinates services and interventions identified in care plans. Evaluates the patient's response to, and progress toward, their optimal patient experience and outcomes. Is committed to patient and family centered care. What You Offer Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Minnesota. Prior med/surg and OB experience required. The ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with patients and families, peers, physicians and other health care professionals. Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Work Schedule Full-time, 60 hours per biweekly pay period 12-hour shifts, rotating days and nights Includes every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays Block schedule
