Provides safe, holistic, and therapeutic care to patients while performing psychosocial and physiologic assessments. Coordinates routine transitional health care needs and ensures efficiency in the delivery of care within the Interventional Radiology team.
Requires BLS and ACLS certifications along with registration as an RCIS, RTR VI, RTR CV, or RTR CI, or a Registered Nurse license in Virginia. Candidates must have an associate degree in nursing or cardiovascular/radiology technology and at least one year of experience in a Cardiac Cath or Electrophysiology Lab.
Certification - Basic Life Support Upon Start; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Upon Start; Registered in one of the following: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Radiologic Technologist Vascular Interventional Radiology (RTR VI), Radiologic Technologist Cardiovascular (RTR CV) or Radiologic Technologist Cardiovascular Interventional (RTR CI) required. Unless at least 5 years of Interventional Radiology Tech experience with active RTR registry, OR a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensure - Registered Nurse Upon Start If the team member doesn't possess one of the above registries, the team member must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse. Experience - One year of experience in interventional Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab performing Cardio Invasive Specialist duties or equivalent years of experience as a nurse working in a critical care hospital unit. Education - Associate Degree Nursing Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and /or Graduate of an accredited, school of Cardiovascular Technology or Radiology Technology or equivalent education and experience.
