Provide nursing care to a diverse population of patients with undiagnosed or acute physical and emotional health alterations. Focus on performing entry-level nursing skills for patients requiring episodic or primary care in the Emergency Department.
Must be a licensed California Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and at least one year of recent ED experience. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI within 90 days of hire.
Your Role on the Team
The Emergency Department Level 1 RN is a Registered Nurse who provides care to a diverse population of patients with perceived or actual physical/emotional alterations in health that are undiagnosed or require further intervention. Emphasis at this level is on learning and performing entry level nursing skills for patients who require episodic, primary or acute care.
What It Takes to be Successful
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Current California Registered Nurse license. AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) Certification within 90 days of hire All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing 1 year of recent ED experience
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms Membership in a professional organization. Six (6) months recent experience as an RN in an acute care facility
