Associate or Licensed Child Therapist

The Well is a Christian Counseling Center and a ministry of Generations Church dedicated to providing compassionate, faith-based, clinical mental health services. We aim to support individuals, couples, and families by integrating professional mental health counseling and Biblical guidance.

We are seeking a Licensed Therapist with a passion for ministry, mental health, and the integration of psychology and faith.

• Spiritual Criteria Can verbalize a strong faith in God.
• Has calling to work in mental health field.
• Demonstrates a clear (can be basic) understanding of key Biblical principles.
• Can articulate a clear values system.
• Clinical Criteria Graduated from CACREP accredited program in social work, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling.
• Licensed or license-eligible to provide mental health counseling services in the state of Georgia.
• Competent in assessing, diagnosing and treating mental health conditions and relational concerns.
• Proficient in developing and implementing appropriate treatment plans to address presenting concerns.
• Strong case conceptualization skills.
• Knowledge of crisis management.
• Trauma-informed.
• Committed to continue learning and niching in particular area of counseling or a therapeutic model.
• Trained in Play Therapy and able to use this model to work with young children (3-6).
• Trained in CBT or DBT and able to use these approaches to work with adolescents.
• Demonstrates clear understanding of confidentiality principles, documentation and record keeping requirements, and Best Practice methods for treating various mental health conditions and treatment modalities.
• Available to be on site for at least 20 hours per week.
• Integration into Church culture Participation in weekly counseling center meetings which include Bible reading and prayer.
• Willing to participate in providing workshops and other therapeutic resources to church community, as needed.
• Willing to be part of the counseling center family, a team that is cohesive and respectful.
• Honoring of the cultural diversity of the kingdom of God.
