The CMA is responsible for administering prescribed medications and providing routine daily nursing care to residents. Key duties include maintaining accurate medical records, monitoring resident conditions, and ensuring compliance with state safety regulations.
Candidates must have completed a Certified Medication Aide program and meet state continuing education requirements. A high school diploma and previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) are preferred.
CMA / Certified Medication Aide, Full-Time, All shifts
The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) provides routine daily nursing care and medication administration for residents requiring long-term or rehabilitative support. This role is carried out in line with established procedures and under the guidance of the supervising nurse.
Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications, monitor residents for any side effects, and promptly report concerns to nursing staff.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
Completion of a Certified Medication Aide program; must meet state-required continuing education requirements.
Strong knowledge of nursing practices, with clinical competency in medication administration and infection control procedures.
Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
