Perform all ordered ultrasound exams and procedures while managing associated peripheral activities. Responsibilities include patient identification, education, documentation in Meditech, and ensuring results reach ordering physicians.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED, graduation from an accredited Ultrasound program, and ARDMS certification. Candidates must have 3 years of general sonography experience and a Maryland practice license (BPQA).
This position performs all ultrasound exams/procedures as ordered by our referring physicians. Position is accountable for all peripheral activities associated with each test/procedure, e.g. ID patient, educating patient and family members, validating order and ordering physician, completing all paperwork, completing all Meditech entries, transferring images, and ensuring that ordering physicians receive final results.
