The Locum NP is responsible for diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and injuries in a fast-paced urgent care setting. They will conduct patient evaluations, prescribe medications, and collaborate with a healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Candidates must hold a Nurse Practitioner certification, a valid state license, and board certification. An associate's degree in nursing or a related field is required, with experience in urgent care preferred.

As a Locum NP, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality urgent care services, working directly with patients to assess their needs and provide effective treatment. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients while maintaining the standards of our medical practice.
Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries Prescribe medications and treatment plans as necessary Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive care Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Respond to urgent medical situations with prompt care Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice
Associate's degree in Nursing or related field Current Nurse Practitioner certification Valid state license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner Experience in urgent care or similar clinical settings preferred Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
Schedule: 8a-7p
Daily Volume: 20 or fewer patients
Patient Population: Pediatrics through geriatrics
Acute symptoms, minor injuries, STD testing, ticks, etc.
Team Structure: 1 NP, 1 clinical team member (RN, LPN, or MA)
Board certification required
