The RN is responsible for dispensing medications and maintaining the completeness of medical records for patients in an outpatient addiction treatment center. They collaborate with the Director of Nursing and participate in treatment team meetings to ensure appropriate patient care.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active Registered Nurse license. Proficiency in computer use and a basic understanding of substance abuse are required.
Sets up for dispensing of medication and dispenses medication. Monitors medication inventory and reports to charge nurses. Reconciles inventory of Methadone and Suboxone at conclusion of dosing Signs and processes physician orders. Enters notes and inputs flags as per physician orders Processes phase change requests Participates on Treatment team and regular Medical Meetings as per Licensure standards. Be proficient with State Licensure Standards, CARF Standards, 42 CFR and HIPAA standards and Company policies. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an active license as a Registered Nurse. Some understanding of substance abuse. Ability to make independent decisions when needed Proficient in the use of personal computers Excellent oral and written communication skills Successful completion of State required background check and required training.
