Responsible for receiving, accessioning, and entering clinical specimens into the laboratory information system. Ensures accurate distribution of worksheets to technologists and successful reporting of results to clients.
Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related experience. Candidates must be knowledgeable in specimen handling, regulatory compliance, and possess strong organizational skills.
Responsible for receiving clinical specimens, checking the requisitions and specimens for accuracy, accessioning the specimens, entering the orders into our laboratory information system, distributing worksheets to the medical technologists, and ensuring results are successfully reported to clients as part of our clinical services.
