Hours: 6:30a-3p, 8a-430p, 2p-1030p *Must be available for all of the shifts listed
Weekends: every other weekend required Holiday Rotation *Hours may vary to meet pharmacy staffing needs. The IV Pharmacy Tech performs the technician responsibilities in specialized areas of pharmacy practice under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner. Demonstrates advanced technical skills and ownership of the work area Demonstrates the ability to competently work independently in defined specialized areas of pharmacy practice Training in an advanced Specialist Pharmacy Technician job functions Assumes local and/or system responsibility for assigned tasks related to advanced specialist job positions Participates in the training of new employees Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner as required by specialty position Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately Training in an advanced Specialist Pharmacy Technician job functions In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned. A pharmacy technician license is required in the state of practice.
