Provides direct nursing care, triage, and emergency life-saving measures for patients in the Emergency Department. Coordinates with health team members and supervises LPNs, EMTs, and ER technicians to ensure quality patient care.
Must be a graduate of a state-approved nursing program and a licensed Registered Nurse in Iowa. Requires BCLS certification within 3 months and ACLS, TNCC, PALS, and ENPC certifications within the first year.
Full-time Night Registered Nurse position in our Emergency Department. (3) three, 12-hour shifts per week from 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM and every 4th weekend. Positive working environment with dedicated ER techs, EMT's and Paramedics. ER Experience preferred but will train the right applicant.
IPERS, Health, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability Insurance. PTO and sick time accrual begin on the first day of employment.
Registered Staff Nurse - Emergency Room Primary Function and Relationship to Total Organization:
Provides direct and/or indirect nursing care for individual patients. Communicates with and on behalf of the patients and coordinates patient care with other health team members. Organizes those aspects of nursing care for which she/he is accountable.

Graduate of a state approved nursing program. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa. Successful completion of BCLS within 3 months of employment and ACLS, TNCC, PALS and ENPC within the first year of employment.
Works in well-lighted, air-conditioned nursing unit. Noise levels vary. May come in contact with hazardous chemicals or treatment modalities.
