The Podiatrist is responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases, deformities, and disorders of the feet and ankles. This includes performing wound care, prescribing medications, and providing preventive care education to patients.
Candidates must hold a Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine and a current California Podiatrist license. A minimum of three years of professional experience and completion of an accredited residency program are preferred.
Description Artisan Foot & Ankle Specialists is part of Balance Health, the nation’s premier comprehensive lower-extremity focused Physician Practice. We are seeking to hire an experienced Podiatrist for our Orange County, California Region. Under the direction of the CMO, the Surgical Podiatrist provides routine and referral podiatric services to patients.
We provide leading podiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, and physical therapists with operational support so they can spend their time focused on growing their business and delivering exceptional patient care. Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles Perform Wound Care management Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team Provide health promotion and preventive medicine Maintain appropriate medical records on assigned patients
Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population Be proficient with computers, and have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR database
Education and Experience Minimum of three (3) years professional experience preferred Current License as a Podiatrist in the State of California Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program
