The Radiology Technologist performs general imaging radiographic procedures for adult and pediatric patients to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, performing independent examinations, and handling portable exams.
Candidates must have an Associate degree or Trade School equivalency and be certified as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)). IEMA licensure for Illinois is required, and CPR certification is preferred.

Role Purpose The Radiology Technologist performs general imaging radiographic procedures to adult and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders
Prepares patient and equipment for procedures. Informs patient on instructions and what the procedure entails with a high level of customer service and professionalism. Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently, in on-call situations (if applicable), portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department.
