The RRT performs comprehensive respiratory assessments and administers therapies such as mechanical ventilation and oxygen delivery. They collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with breathing disorders.
Candidates must hold a valid RRT credential from the NBRC, state licensure, and BLS certification. Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program and a high school diploma are required.
