About the Role

• The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) plays a critical role in providing specialized respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic breathing disorders.
• This position involves assessing, treating, and monitoring patients to improve their respiratory function and overall health outcomes.
• The RRT collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• The role requires the ability to operate advanced respiratory equipment and deliver emergency respiratory interventions when necessary.
• Ultimately, the RRT ensures that patients receive high-quality, evidence-based respiratory therapy to enhance their quality of life and recovery process.
• Completion and maintenance of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are required within 6 months to 1 year of hire.
• These certifications are supported and provided by the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• State licensure to practice as a respiratory therapist in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong understanding of respiratory care principles and clinical practices.
• Advance Life Support (ACLS) certification (within 6 months of hire)
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or support at least 50 pounds, including maneuvering patient beds, oxygen cylinders, and ventilators.
• Ability to be able to walk and stand for 75% to 100% of the 12-hour workday.
