The Medical Assistant will screen patients using an iPad-based questionnaire to determine eligibility for genetic testing. They will also handle necessary paperwork and collect DNA samples via mouthwash swishes.
Candidates must be fluent in Spanish and have 1-2 years of experience working in a fast-paced office environment. Strong patient interaction skills are required, and certification is preferred but not mandatory.
We are looking for a Medical Assistant to work in a busy physician's office on behalf of our lab conducting genetic testing.
This would involve speaking to each patient that comes into the office, utilizing our iPad based questionnaire to see if the patient qualifies for the test, then filling out the paper work and collecting the DNA sample (this is just a mouthwash swish...no blood).
Our tests assess both Cancer Risk and tell patients who want to have children if they have a Genetic Mutation that they could pass down to their children. So YOU can really make a difference in patient lives.
We offer hourly pay of $17-$21 dollar and paid training!
Potential of transitioning to full-time employment (Optional)
