Administer general anesthetics to patients during surgical, obstetrical, and medical procedures while monitoring vital signs to ensure physiological stability. Supervise student nurse anesthetists and maintain detailed records of all anesthetics administered.
Requires a graduate degree from an accredited MSN, DNP, or DNAP CRNA program and current RN licensure recognized by NCBON. Eligibility for AANA certification is required for new graduates.

A $60,000 COMMITMENT BONUS is currently being offered to New Grad and Experienced CRNAs (eligible for New full time CRNAs or for PRNs with over 5 yrs current PRN experience with Duke.
Distributed in $10,000 increments every six months for 36 months All FTE CRNAs working in a hospital setting are offered a $15,000 annual stipend for 1.0FTEs (or prorated for <1.0FTEs) and paid monthly based on FTE status, for each fiscal year (July 1 – June 30). $2500 annual CME allowance for 1.0 FTEs, prorated for those working less An $8,000 relocation budget is available for CRNAs who move 50 miles or more (NC primary residence to Duke facility)

Administer general anesthetics to render patients insensible to pain during surgical, obstetrical and other medical procedures; take necessary remedial action to aspirate secretions from throat larynx and trachea as required.
Job Eligibility Requirements Education: Graduate of an accredited MSN, DNP or DNAP CRNA program
Eligibility for certification by the AANA as a Certified Nurse Anesthetist is required for new grads.
Licensure: Current RN licensure issued by or recognized by NCBON with approval to practice as a CRNA
New grads are welcome to apply; no experience is required beyond CRNA education and training.
