Perform technical duties including conducting physical, chemical, or biological tests and documenting results to support research activities. Responsibilities include setting up laboratory apparatus, preparing reagents, and maintaining equipment inventory.
Requires an Associate's degree in botany, biology, zoology, psychology, or a related scientific field. Experience in chemical synthesis, quality control, or microtome usage is preferred but not mandatory.

The Research Technician 1 role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to a high-impact, ARPA-H-funded research initiative focused on advancing solutions for osteoarthritis. Given the project’s time-sensitive milestones, this position plays a critical role in accelerating experimental progress, from animal behavioral testing to tissue analysis and support for drug development using nanomaterials. We are looking for temporary full-time assistance for 3 to 6 months. This position is 100% research/grant funded.

Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $18.00 to USD $26.49.
