The Medical Assistant will prepare patients for examinations by recording vitals and assisting physicians during dermatology procedures. They are also responsible for maintaining patient records, providing education on skincare, and ensuring clinic rooms are stocked and organized.
A high school diploma is required, and a Medical Assistant certification is preferred. Candidates should have strong communication skills and familiarity with EHR systems and medical terminology, particularly in dermatology.
Prepare patients for clinical examination by recording vital signs and medical histories. Assist physicians during procedures and examinations, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are ready. Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen preparation accurately. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records following healthcare compliance standards. Assist with scheduling appointments and coordinating clinic communications during working hours. Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and skincare routines. Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and stocked appropriately. High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification is preferred. Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting is beneficial. Knowledge of medical terminology, especially in dermatology, preferred. Strong communication skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software is a plus.
