Evaluate patients and deliver occupational therapy services within their homes to improve motor skills and daily living independence. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care and document patient progress.
Requires a current California State license as an Occupational Therapist, CPR certification, and at least one year of home health care experience. Must possess a valid driver's license, a personal vehicle with insurance, and be COVID vaccinated or exempt.
We are hiring for Full-Time 40 hours per week M-F 8am-5pm or Part-Time/Per-Diem role of between 10-20 hours per week, with the possibility of expanded hours in the future.
To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform the following duties successfully: Evaluate patients upon physician diagnosis Assess patient and identify deficits impacting self-care, functional mobility, behavior, cognition and patient’s ability to function in their life’s role Deliver occupational therapy to patients in their own homes Help patients improve their motor skills, coordination, and balance through therapeutic exercises and activities Assist patients in developing or regaining daily living skills, such as dressing, bathing, and eating Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices to enhance their independence Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, social workers, physical therapists and speech therapists, to coordinate patient care Monitor and document patients' progress during therapy sessions
One year experience as a home health care provider Current California State license as an Occupational Therapist and stays updated through independent study and continuing education Current CPR certification Valid California Driver’s License Eligible to be insured under our liability policy with a clean DMV report Your own vehicle and proof of current auto insurance COVID vaccinated or have an exemption. PPE is provided to all employees
Demonstrated technical competence and accountable for work output. Demonstrates proficiency in performing occupational therapy procedures and modalities and in assessing the effects of these Demonstrates sensitivity with patient, family, and their medical team Ability to work with others, at all levels within the organization, and collaborate effectively. Above-average interpersonal, problem-solving, and written and oral communication skills. Professional behavior when on duty Ability to maintain patient records and able to organize daily schedule
Conditional upon job offer is successfully passing a medical exam. Physical requirements for this role specifically include Sits, stands, bends, lifts, walks, and moves intermittently during working hours. Able to lift to 50 pounds without assistance. Able to drive intermittently on a daily basis
Pay range is $55.00 to $65.00 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
You will be reimbursed for the mileage you travel in your own vehicle from the office to participant’s homes. Access to company owned vehicles to client visits. You will receive a monthly phone stipend. For Full Time Employees: On the first of the month following 2 months of employment, you will be eligible for health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, long term disability insurance as well as Flexible Spending Account (FSA). We offer 401(k) matching up to 4% after 1 year of employment and 1,000 hours worked.
Leave accrues starting on your first day of employment, and you can take paid vacation, bereavement, sick and holiday leave after 90 days.
