The clinician will assess individual needs to develop and implement treatment plans and provide counseling support services. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, educating clients on community resources, and providing evidence-based individual and group therapy.
A Master's Degree from an accredited 60-hour counseling program is required, though no prior experience is necessary. Candidates must be residents or eligible for residency in professional counseling, clinical social work, marriage and family therapy, or substance abuse treatment.

The Clinician LHMP/LMHP-E will assess the needs of individuals referred to the program and use information obtained to develop and implement appropriate treatment approaches and counseling support services. These services include developing individual treatment plans, conducting assessments, providing counseling services, and educating individuals on available community resources. This position is grant based position and may come to an end with the ending of grant funding.
New hires will be expected to apply for clinical supervision and residency within 30 days of hire.
Knowledge of family systems theory and application, social ecological theory and application, behavioral therapies theory and application, cognitive-behavioral therapy theory and application, pragmatic family therapies theory and application, child development research and its application in treatment, social skills assessment and intervention. Knowledge of and adherence to existing professional ethical standards; Knowledge and ability to provide evidenced based group/individual therapy; Knowledge of and ability to complete psychiatrically based assessments; Ability to form and maintain effective counseling relationships with clients, to monitor client movement in the therapy process, and terminate the therapeutic relationship in appropriate ways; Ability to effectively communicate orally, both in person, and by telephone; Ability to effectively communicate in writing and to prepare written documents; Ability to maintain a consistent and dependable work schedule: Ability to travel to meetings, other campuses, and counseling sites; Ability to respond to emergency situations in a timely and appropriate manner; Ability to use a personal computer and other office equipment
