The Enrollment Coordinator conducts outreach to prospective clients and enrolls them into a medically-tailored meals program. They are responsible for tracking participant information, maintaining confidential records, and managing client data in a database.
A BA/BS degree and experience in social services or healthcare are preferred. Candidates must possess strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to serve diverse populations with cultural competency.
Founded in 1988, Food & Friends provides medically-tailored meals, nutrition support, and friendship to people living with AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses. Our team of seventy-five employees and thousands of volunteers delivers meals and hope to people living in the District of Columbia and multiple counties across Maryland and Virginia. There is no charge or income qualification for our services, which are rendered solely on the basis of medical need. Food & Friends is proud to be a nationally-recognized leader of the Food is Medicine movement.

The successful candidate will preferably have a BA/BS and experience working in social services and/or health care. Additional requirements include strong written/verbal communication skills, efficient time management skills, superior organization skills, ability to multi-task, and the ability to serve a diverse population in a culturally competent manner. Spanish language skills a plus. Offer of employment contingent upon a background check and pre-employment drug test.
The Enrollment Coordinator position pays $25.00 an hour. Benefits include medical, dental, disability, retirement plan, paid maternity/paternity leave, weekly short Fridays, and three weeks of paid leave for new hires. Food & Friends is Metro accessible.
