Enrollment Coordinator

Founded in 1988, Food & Friends provides medically-tailored meals, nutrition support, and friendship to people living with AIDS, cancer, and other life-challenging illnesses. Our team of seventy-five employees and thousands of volunteers delivers meals and hope to people living in the District of Columbia and multiple counties across Maryland and Virginia. There is no charge or income qualification for our services, which are rendered solely on the basis of medical need. • We seek an Enrollment Coordinator to conduct outreach to prospective clients and enroll them in our medically-tailored meals program. Reporting to the Strategic Partnerships Director, the Enrollment Coordinator will:
• Conduct outreach to individuals using lists of names and contact information provided by referral partners;
• Prepare and mail outreach letters to prospective participants explaining program benefits and enrollment steps;
• Call eligible participants to enroll them into the medically-tailored meals program and answer any questions that they may have;
• Accurately track, collect, and document required participant information;
• Enter all client data, outreach attempts, and enrollment details into client database; and
• Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential records in compliance with HIPAA privacy standards

The successful candidate will preferably have a BA/BS and experience working in social services and/or health care. Additional requirements include strong written/verbal communication skills, efficient time management skills, superior organization skills, ability to multi-task, and the ability to serve a diverse population in a culturally competent manner. Spanish language skills a plus. Offer of employment contingent upon a background check and pre-employment drug test.

The Enrollment Coordinator position pays $25.00 an hour. Benefits include medical, dental, disability, retirement plan, paid maternity/paternity leave, weekly short Fridays, and three weeks of paid leave for new hires. Food & Friends is Metro accessible.
