Perform basic nursing care activities and assist the multidisciplinary team in maintaining a safe, clean, and stocked patient care environment. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, and documenting patient data in the nursing database.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and a certification as a CNA, EMT, or CPCT, along with BLS certification. Preferred experience includes one year in a healthcare setting, specifically in pediatrics or nursing school clinicals.
This is a part time position, working rotating shifts, 24 hours a week and every other weekend. In collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care delivery team, under the direction of the Registered Nurse perform basic nursing care activities, assist in maintaining a safe, clean, stocked patient care setting, assist staff members and help direct patient flow .
Minimum Education High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Minimum Work Experience 1 year Experience in a health care setting if possible pediatrics; one semester clinical experience completed at an accredited school of nursing or military corpsman training. (Preferred) Required Licenses and Certifications Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) certification (Required) Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge Basic computer skills (typing, use of mouse, e-mail). Knowledge of aseptic technique. Basic calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). Human relations and interpersonal skills.
