Provide comprehensive dental care including root canal therapy, restorative work, and oral surgery to underserved populations. Supervise dental staff and participate in the development of treatment protocols and quality assurance procedures.
Requires a DDS or DMD license from the State of California and current CPR/BLS certification. A general practice residency or two years of clinical experience is preferred.
Current American Heart Association healthcare provider CPR (BLS), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, or Advance Resuscitation Training. DEA license General practice residency or equivalent of 2 years clinical experience preferred. Graduate of accredited Dental School. License from the State of California as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) or a Doctor of Medical Dentistry (D.M.D.) required. Membership in American Academy of General Dentistry preferred. Experience/Specialized skills (including Language) Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse social, cultural and economic groups. Ability to work well in both a team-based environment and independently. Basic computer literacy ability to comply with department needs and expectations (i.e., electronic medical record documentation, obtaining background information and reports on patients, following up on apt, etc.). Bilingual in Spanish/English strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to be culturally sensitive and respect diversity. Demonstrated knowledge of, and ability to perform, relevant dental practices, protocol, trends, and best practices. Effective training and coaching skills; ability to drive results and achieve objectives through others. Good interpersonal and customer service skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of, and ability to adhere to, scope of practice.
