The Surgical Technician is responsible for setting up and maintaining a sterile field and assisting surgeons and the surgical team during procedures. They also manage the care of specimens and ensure the proper function and maintenance of all OR equipment and instruments.
Candidates must have completed a Surgical Tech program and hold certifications from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting and the American Heart Association (BLS). One year of Operating Room experience is preferred.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

The primary duties of the Surgical Technician include being prepared for and knowledgeable of the surgical procedure to be performed, setting up and maintaining a sterile field, assists surgeon as necessary, assists circulating nurse and other members of the surgical team, maintains familiarity, function and proper care of all OR equipment and instruments. The Surgical Technician initiates responsibility for care of specimens and performs other related duties as assigned.
