Interview patients and document basic medical history Take vitals pre/post-op and document findings in their patient chart Organize, authorize, and schedule appointments for referrals Send prescriptions electronically, by fax, or by verbally calling them in Assist during medical examinations Triage patient calls, assess the problem, consult with the physician Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
Required License/Experience/Skills Proven working experience as a medical assistant Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Proficiency in MS Office and EMR systems High school diploma or equivalent BLS Certification English Preferred License/Experience/Skills Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
