The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for evaluating patient respiratory needs and implementing care plans based on clinical guidelines. Duties include managing oxygen therapy, airway management, and performing cardiopulmonary services such as EKG and PFT testing.
Candidates must be graduates of an approved respiratory care program with a current North Carolina license and CRT or RRT credentials. A minimum of one year of clinical experience is required, with ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required by the end of probation.
Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) Job Summary FHC Montgomery Memorial Hospital offers cardiopulmonary services to include EKG, stress testing and PFT testing and a respiratory consult model that allows therapists to fully utilize their assessment skills and to optimize the plan of care accordingly. The responsibilities include but are not limited to all types of oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, airway management with intubations, arterial punctures and analysis, invasive and non-invasive ventilation management protocols. Will be responsible for evaluating the respiratory needs of patients and the development and implementation of a Respiratory Care Plan based on Clinical Practice Guidelines.
