The NNP is responsible for the day-to-day management of the NICU, including delivery attendance and ventilator and nutrition management. The role involves collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to provide care for newborns and meeting with families.
Candidates must hold a Georgia nurse practitioner license and a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) certification. At least one year of advanced practice experience is required, with hospitalist experience preferred.

This organization is a physician-owned medical practice specializing in the care of expectant mothers and newborns. They were founded in 2016 by a small group of neonatologists serving a single hospital’s NICU. Since then, they have grown to operate in multiple states with more than 100 board certified neonatologists, OB hospitalists, and pediatric specialists on their team. They combine a national infrastructure with local support, using their breadth and depth of clinical and operational resources to allow physicians to focus their time on delivering care.
This position is employed by a private group, with the role based in a medical center in Atlanta.
The hospital is highly regarded for its commitment to women’s and children’s health. It is a Level 3 Trauma Center with a NICU and 331 licensed beds, performing an average of 250 deliveries per month.
The schedule is coordinated collaboratively among all the providers, with the option to bundle shifts if preferred.
The hospital uses an EHR and clinical assistants are available to assist providers in all situations.
