The MET Nurse is responsible for responding to critical situations and calls across all adult non-critical care units. They utilize the nursing process to provide safe, therapeutic care and make independent decisions based on Rapid Response and Code Blue protocols.
Candidates must have a current WV RN license, ACLS and CPR certifications, and at least 2 years of critical care experience. An associate degree or diploma is required, while a bachelor's degree is preferred.
Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a MET Registered Nurse for our Sepsis Program.
The Medical Emergency Team (MET) Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for responding to calls and critical situations or concerns on all adult non-critical care units. The MET Nurse will utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) to delegate, coordinate and provide safe, therapeutic nursing care to patients/families. This individual makes independent judgments/decisions and takes action regarding a wide range of routine and complex patient issues, operating under guidelines of the Adult Rapid Response/Code Blue Protocols.
The shift will be determined by each hiring manager. The pay rate will be determined in accordance with the labor agreement.
