The Med Tech is responsible for administering prescribed medications to residents according to care plans and physician orders. They must maintain accurate medical records and ensure the comfort, privacy, and dignity of all residents.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, successful completion of Medication Technician training, and at least six months of experience working with seniors. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and lift up to 50 lbs is required.

Provide assistance of medication administration for resident according to their care plan and physician’s orders.Part-Time/Per-Diem Weekends 5pm-9pm
$23.00 - $24.00 HourlyResponsibilities and DutiesAdminister and/or assist with self-administration of prescribed medication to resident and maintain related medical records under the supervision of the RN and/or LPNComplete required annual medication trainingProvide resident care to ensure care needs are met according to the resident’s care planMaintain medical records and written documentation assuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with federal and state regulations, certification standards, legal and ethical standards.Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of residents in the deliver of services to themQualificationsSuccessful completion of Medication Technician training and periodic competency testingAbility to perform medication administration in accordance with State RegsStrong Communication SkillsObserves & reports changes in residents' physical condition, cognition & emotional status to Supervisor.Knowledge of, and ability to, adhere to HIPAA policiesMust have a high school diploma or equivalent Minimum of six (6) months experience working with seniors in Personal Care, Home Health, Hospital, or Long-Term Care environmentAble to work weekends and holidaysPhysical AbilitiesWhile performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents.
