The postdoctoral fellow will conduct, report, and present research under the supervision of a faculty mentor. This includes performing in vivo experiments, planning research activities, and contributing to scientific analysis.
Candidates must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree and scientific research experience. A preferred qualification includes a PhD in Neuroscience with experience in intrathecal injections and animal behavior.
Ph.D., M.D. or Doctoral equivalent in any field. Scientific research experience.
The postdoctoral fellow will conduct, report and present research in his/her field of study under the supervision of a faculty mentor. This is a training position, and is not expected to be a permanent position. Entry level postdoctoral research fellow designs, conducts research actives independently and contributes to advancing laboratory research projects. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Performs independently in vivo experiments including intrathecal injections and behavioral analyses. May supervise junior staff. Plans, directs and coordinates complex research experiments following general technical procedures. Works with Principal Investigator to formulate research plans, coordinates project activities and establishes appropriate reporting procedures. Contributes to scientific analysis and interpretation of projects. Makes modifications to research procedures in collaboration with the Principal Investigator. Confers with Principal Investigator regarding results obtained and receives suggestions for modification to procedures and/or interpretation of final data. Contributes to write animal protocols Performs related duties as required.
Bachelor’s degree in basic science or equivalent and a PhD in Neuroscience with documented experience with intrathecal injections and animal behavior.
