EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE One year certificate from college or technical school; and three to six months related experience and/or training. Pediatric or ventilator experience preferred. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Administer medications/treatments to residents. Perform tracheostomy care including changing, cleaning and emergency care. Perform tracheostomy, nasopharyngeal, and oral suctioning. Perform and be familiar with sterile procedures. Perform oxygen therapy, including the use of the oxygen tank and apparatus, adjusting to the purpose of seizure management. Perform respiratory therapy for trach and vent residents. Perform first aid measures for the purpose of seizure management. Be familiar with the care and management of ventricular shunts. Perform postural drainage and percussioning on patients who require this. Perform range of motion during bath on residents and reposition every two hours. Perform oral and gastrostomy tube feedings. Perform gastrostomy tube care. Report signs of dehydration and fecal impactions.

Maintain charts of residents in her charge. See that the physical home is kept clean, neat and orderly at all times. See that the equipment is cleaned at the end of each shift.
